For a while now we have been made aware of the need to replace our existing 30 year old kitchen with a modern, fit for purpose kitchen with commercial facilities including a dishwasher! There is also a need for a sound system and hearing loops in the halls and a number of groups have requested we purchase a big screen. Also heating in the toilets! So, we are applying for grant assistance from a number of sources but these all request match funding. Total project cost is approximately £45,000 as we are not VAT registered.
We will shortly be launching a crowdfunder, with a target of £10,000. Liz Gavrilenko of Knead to Connect CIC and Peter Turner and Camilla Rooney from Wellmoor/Men in Sheds and John Dodds have kindly offered to assist with guidance and advice. We will also be looking for volunteers to help with some of the work as their time can be recorded as match funding. We are registered to receive Gift Aid so please, if you think you can help, please look out for the launch.
